New Paint on Old Varnish! Crack trains with spartan accommodations, threadbare but safe, wend their way through our territory, providing mail, small parcels and people with something to crow about! Three trains daily serve Aptakisic, offering connections to Chicago's many railroad stations & all points on the compass. Once in a while we also see Milwaukee Road streamliners and an occasional NKP train when they get rerouted due to bad track, accidents or other imagined conditions. Delivery of additional  equipment is anticipated--we'll have upgraded services, more trains from which to choose,  or  perhaps be better able to approximate the very demanding schedule we have set as our distant goal!

Aptakisic, our hub of operations! Here we have CAW offices, the primary engine service facility and a modern storage cabinet for our rolling stock! Located just outside of Chicago in the vicinity of the Des Plaines River, the right place for a railroad that employs crows.

Our headquarters is located behind an impressive edifice,  providing our highly productive and motivated staff all of the modern conveniences--central heat, indoor plumbing, electricity and a place to take their coffee breaks. We are proud of our corporate image, as it is plain to see. This railroad spares no parsimony in returning  its hard earned dollars to the owner in net profit. The Cortland, Aptakisic & Washtenaw always operates in the dark, if not in the black.
